Bay Sports Warranty

At Bay Sports, everything we do is underpinned by our commitment to quality. Each range of products is covered by a separate warranty. Please see detailed information below.

Hard Plastic Kayaks

Warranty Period

  • 5 Years - hull & deck
  • 1 Year - component parts & accessories

Warranty Detail

Your kayak is built of superior materials and in accordance with stringent quality standards. With adequate maintenance, it will give you years of reliable use. But as with most products, it is subject to wear and tear. If you eventually need replacement parts, technical assistance or product/service information, please contact hello@baysports.com.au.

Bay Sports kayak warranty is valid only if the product is used for its intended purpose and for which it was designed. Product component parts and accessories are warranted for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase against defects in workmanship and/or materials.

The hull and deck are warranted for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase against defects in workmanship and/or materials and suitable for its intended purpose.

If a product is found to be defective by Bay Sports, in its sole discretion, Bay Sports only responsibility shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective product.

Bay Sports will not be responsible for any costs, losses or damages incurred as a result of loss of use of product. This warranty is subject to the following limitations in addition to any imposed by virtue of applicable law.

1 The warranty applies only to Bay Sports products purchased from authorised dealers and is valid for the original purchaser only. Transfers of warranty is not possible.

2 Any products that we request to be returned to Bay Sports for warranty inspection must receive prior return authorisation, which can be given over an email by contacting hello@baysports.com.au. Transportation costs back to the appointed place of repair or replacement are at the expense of the consumer. Bay Sports is not responsible for any damages incurred in transport, for storing or transportation fees, nor for inconvenience or loss of time or money while repairs are being made. Bay Sports reserves the right to determine whether the terms of the warranty have been properly complied with.

Excluded from coverage under this warranty are the following:

  • Kayaks used for rental or other commercial use
  • Products that have been damaged by negligence, misuse or accident, or wear due to owner’s failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance
  • Change in appearance of Kayaks due to wear, exposure or any other environmental condition
  • Damage to Kayaks caused by exposure to abrasive surfaces.
  • Products which have been modified or repaired by unauthorised persons

3 Repaired or replaced products are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period only.

4 Repaired items will be subject to available parts. We will do our best to match colours and styles but we cannot guarantee that you will receive the exact product back

5 All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original purchase receipt 

This warranty is in addition to and does not affect your legal rights under laws.

Bay Sports SUP warranty is valid only if the product is used for its intended purpose and for which it was designed. Bay Sports warrants all Bay Sports Stand Up Paddle Boards sold by Bay Sports to be free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified on the product. 

If a product is found to be defective by Bay Sports, in its sole discretion, Bay Sports only responsibility shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective product.

Canvas Bell Tents

Warranty Period

  • 12 Months

Warranty Detail

All Bay Sports Canvas Tents carry a 12 Month Warranty which starts immediately after delivery. 

The Warranty only applies to production errors (for instance with respect to stitches and waterproofing) when using and maintaining the tent as directed in the accompanying user guide.  The Warranty does not cover or wear and tear and cannot be extended to the poles or zips after the tent has been pitched for the first time. Please check the zips and poles are functioning correctly prior to your first pitch.

The Warranty does not apply in the following cases:

  • If the product succumbs to environmental factors such as mould, mildew or UV deterioration   
  • If the product has been modified
  • If the original receipt/invoice/proof of purchase cannot be presented
  • If the product has been damaged intentionally, or as a consequence of negligence or bad maintenance
  • If the product is being used for professional and/or long term shelter after 28 days of continuous use. After 28 days, the tent is classified as a permanent structure and is not being used for its intended purpose (i.e a tent for recreational camping)

Your consumer legal rights may still apply after the warranty expires.
